I used these shell commands:
../glibc/scripts/update-copyrights $PWD/../gnulib/build-aux/update-copyright
(cd ../glibc && git commit -am"[this commit message]")
and then ignored the output, which consisted lines saying "FOO: warning:
copyright statement not found" for each of 7061 files FOO.
I then removed trailing white space from math/tgmath.h,
support/tst-support-open-dev-null-range.c, and
sysdeps/x86_64/multiarch/strlen-vec.S, to work around the following
obscure pre-commit check failure diagnostics from Savannah. I don't
know why I run into these diagnostics whereas others evidently do not.

With now a faster strcspn implementation, it is faster to just use
it with some return tests than reimplementing strpbrk itself.
As for strcspn optimization, it is generally at least 10 times faster
than the existing implementation on bench-strspn on a few AArch64
implementations.
Also the string/bits/string2.h inlines make no longer sense, as current
implementation will already implement most of the optimizations.
Tested on x86_64, i386, and aarch64.

This patch add an optimized strpbrk for POWER7 by using a different
algorithm than default implementation: it constructs a table based on
the 'accept' argument and use this table to check for any occurance on
the input string. The idea is similar as x86_64 uses.
For PowerPC some tunings were added, such as unroll loops and memory
clear using VSX instructions.
