From 60dce8b9044155bb04eb310fb0fc5e9607b7d2e6 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Adhemerval Zanella Date: Fri, 22 May 2015 08:36:08 -0300 Subject: Remove socket.S implementation This patch removes the socket.S implementation for all ports and replace it by a C implementation using socketcall. For ports that implement the syscall directly, there is no change. The patch idea is to simplify the socket function implementation that uses the socketcall to be based on C implemetation instead of a pseudo assembly implementation with arch specific parts. The patch then remove the assembly implementatation for the ports which uses socketcall (i386, microblaze, mips, powerpc, sparc, m68k, s390 and sh). I have cross-build GLIBC for afore-mentioned ports and tested on both i386 and ppc32 without regressions. --- sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sparc/sparc32/socket.S | 116 ------------------------- 1 file changed, 116 deletions(-) delete mode 100644 sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sparc/sparc32/socket.S (limited to 'sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sparc/sparc32') diff --git a/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sparc/sparc32/socket.S b/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sparc/sparc32/socket.S deleted file mode 100644 index 59c81649ec..0000000000 --- a/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/sparc/sparc32/socket.S +++ /dev/null @@ -1,116 +0,0 @@ -/* Copyright (C) 1997-2015 Free Software Foundation, Inc. - This file is part of the GNU C Library. - Contributed by Miguel de Icaza , 1997. - - The GNU C Library is free software; you can redistribute it and/or - modify it under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public - License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either - version 2.1 of the License, or (at your option) any later version. - - The GNU C Library is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, - but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of - MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
