From 535e935a284b2ec96659d1ac40eebf61321f2362 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Noah Goldstein Date: Wed, 13 Apr 2022 19:46:03 -0500 Subject: Replace {u}int_fast{16|32} with {u}int32_t On 32-bit machines this has no affect. On 64-bit machines {u}int_fast{16|32} are set as {u}int64_t which is often not ideal. Particularly x86_64 this change both saves code size and may save instruction cost. Full xcheck passes on x86_64. --- resolv/nss_dns/dns-canon.c | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) (limited to 'resolv') diff --git a/resolv/nss_dns/dns-canon.c b/resolv/nss_dns/dns-canon.c index 3151e50ae1..9aaa2c45bc 100644 --- a/resolv/nss_dns/dns-canon.c +++ b/resolv/nss_dns/dns-canon.c @@ -118,7 +118,7 @@ _nss_dns_getcanonname_r (const char *name, char *buffer, size_t buflen, goto unavail; /* Check whether type and class match. */ - uint_fast16_t type; + short int type; NS_GET16 (type, ptr); if (type == qtypes[i]) { -- cgit 1.4.1
