* arm: Remove lazy tlsdesc initialization related codeSzabolcs Nagy2017-11-031-84/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Lazy tlsdesc initialization is no longer used in the dynamic linker so all related code can be removed. * sysdeps/arm/dl-machine.h (elf_machine_runtime_setup): Remove DT_TLSDESC_GOT initialization. * sysdeps/arm/dl-tlsdesc.S (_dl_tlsdesc_lazy_resolver): Remove. (_dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold): Likewise. * sysdeps/aarch64/dl-tlsdesc.h (_dl_tlsdesc_lazy_resolver): Remove. (_dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold): Likewise. * sysdeps/aarch64/tlsdesc.c (_dl_tlsdesc_lazy_resolver_fixup): Remove. (_dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold_fixup): Likewise.
* Remove sfi_* annotations from ARM assembly files.Zack Weinberg2017-05-201-19/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This semi-mechanical patch removes all uses and definitions of the sfi_breg, sfi_pld, and sfi_sp macros from various ARM-specific assembly files. These were only used by NaCl. * sysdeps/arm/sysdep.h (ARM_SFI_MACROS, sfi_breg, sfi_pld, sfi_sp): Delete definitions. * sysdeps/arm/__longjmp.S, sysdeps/arm/add_n.S * sysdeps/arm/addmul_1.S, sysdeps/arm/arm-mcount.S * sysdeps/arm/armv6/rawmemchr.S, sysdeps/arm/armv6/strchr.S * sysdeps/arm/armv6/strcpy.S, sysdeps/arm/armv6/strlen.S * sysdeps/arm/armv6/strrchr.S, sysdeps/arm/armv6t2/memchr.S * sysdeps/arm/armv6t2/strlen.S * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/memcpy_impl.S * sysdeps/arm/armv7/strcmp.S, sysdeps/arm/dl-tlsdesc.S * sysdeps/arm/memcpy.S, sysdeps/arm/memmove.S * sysdeps/arm/memset.S, sysdeps/arm/setjmp.S * sysdeps/arm/strlen.S, sysdeps/arm/submul_1.S: Remove all uses of sfi_breg, sfi_pld, and sfi_sp.

* [BZ #19129][ARM] Fix _dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold to save r0Szabolcs Nagy2015-10-141-9/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | _dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold calls into a C function that clobbers r0, but it assumes the original argument is still in r0 after the call. This can cause crash in case of concurrent TLS access when TLSDESC is in use (-mtls-dialect=gnu2). Run into this while fixing BZ 18572. Both r0 and r1 are saved/restored so the stack remains 8 byte aligned. [BZ #19129] * sysdeps/arm/dl-tlsdesc.S (_dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold): Save and restore r0 and r1.

* ARM: Fix handling of concurrent TLS descriptor resolutionWill Newton2014-05-271-19/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The current code for handling concurrent resolution says that the ABI for _dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold is the same as that of _dl_tlsdesc_lazy_resolver. However _dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold is called from the trampoline directly rather than the lazy resolver stub so, for example, r2 has not been pushed so does not needed to be restored. This fixes an intermittent failure in nptl/tst-tls3 when building glibc for arm-linux-gnueabihf with -mtls-dialect=gnu2. ChangeLog: 2014-05-27 Will Newton <will.newton@linaro.org> [BZ #16990] * sysdeps/arm/dl-tlsdesc.S (_dl_tlsdesc_resolve_hold): Save and restore r2 rather than just restoring.
* Move arm from ports to libc.Joseph Myers2014-02-081-0/+226
I've moved the ARM port from ports to the main sysdeps hierarchy. Beyond the README update, the move of the files was simply git mv ports/sysdeps/arm sysdeps/arm git mv ports/sysdeps/unix/arm sysdeps/unix/arm git mv ports/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/arm sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/arm and in addition to the ChangeLog entries here, I put a note at the top of ports/ChangeLog.arm similar to that at the top of ChangeLog.powerpc. There is deliberately no NEWS change, as I think it makes the most sense to put in a general note above all ports having moved if we can achieve that for 2.20. Tested that disassembly of installed shared libraries for arm is the same before and after this patch, except for data (not instructions) in ld.so (there are assertions in sysdeps/arm/dl-machine.h, and the path by which that file is found, and so by which it appears in the assertion message, changes as a result of the move). * sysdeps/arm: Move directory from ports/sysdeps/arm. * sysdeps/unix/arm: Move directory from ports/sysdeps/unix/arm. * sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/arm: Move directory from ports/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/arm. * README: Update listing for arm-*-linux-gnueabi. ports/ChangeLog.arm: * sysdeps/arm: Move directory to ../sysdeps/arm. * sysdeps/unix/arm: Move directory to ../sysdeps.arm. * sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/arm: Move directory to ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/arm.
