| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I used these shell commands: ../glibc/scripts/update-copyrights $PWD/../gnulib/build-aux/update-copyright (cd ../glibc && git commit -am"[this commit message]") and then ignored the output, which consisted lines saying "FOO: warning: copyright statement not found" for each of 7061 files FOO. I then removed trailing white space from math/tgmath.h, support/tst-support-open-dev-null-range.c, and sysdeps/x86_64/multiarch/strlen-vec.S, to work around the following obscure pre-commit check failure diagnostics from Savannah. I don't know why I run into these diagnostics whereas others evidently do not. remote: *** 912-#endif remote: *** 913: remote: *** 914- remote: *** error: lines with trailing whitespace found ... remote: *** error: sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/statx_cp.c: trailing lines

* Fix armv7 build with GCC 9.Joseph Myers2018-11-121-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Similar to the x86_64 build issues, glibc fails to build for armv7 with current mainline GCC because of aliases declared in the course of defining IFUNCs, which copy their attributes from a header declaration, ending up with fewer attributes than the (built-in) string function they alias: the relevant attributes (nonnull, leaf) are present on the header declaration, but elided therefrom when glibc itself if being built (whatever the reasons are for disabling the nonnull and leaf attributes in that case, and whether or not those reasons are actually still valid). This patch fixes the issue similarly to the x86_64 fix, by adding an addition __attribute_copy__ use (in this case, on the definition of arm_libc_ifunc_hidden_def). Tested with build-many-glibcs.py build for armeb-linux-gnueabi-be8. * sysdeps/arm/arm-ifunc.h [SHARED] (arm_libc_ifunc_hidden_def): Use __attribute_copy__ to copy attributes from name.

* arm: Implement memcpy ifunc selection in CAdhemerval Zanella2017-11-061-0/+33
This patch refactor ARM memcpy ifunc selector to a C implementation. No functional change is expected, including ifunc resolution rules. It also adds some cleanup: - Internal memcpy hidden definition (__GI_memcpy) is now a hidden symbol. - No need to create hidden definition for the ifunc variants. Checked on armv7-linux-gnueabihf and with a build for arm-linux-gnueabi, arm-linux-gnueabihf with and without multiarch support and with both GCC 7.1 and GCC mainline. I also checked with the some possible multiarch different configurations that trigger different memcpy buids (__ARM_NEON__ && !__SOFT_FP__, !__ARM_NEON__ && !__SOFT_FP__, and !__ARM_NEON__ && __SOFT_FP__). * sysdeps/arm/arm-ifunc.h: New file. * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/ifunc-memcpy.h: Likewise. * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/memcpy.c: Likewise. * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/memcpy_arm.S: Likewise. * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/rtld-memcpy.S: Likewise. * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/memcpy_neon.S [!__ARM_NEON__] (__memcpy_neon): Avoid create hidden alias. * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/memcpy_vfp.S [!__ARM_NEON_] (__memcpy_vfp): Likewise. * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/Makefile [$(subdir) = string] (sysdep_routines): Add memcpy_arm. * sysdeps/arm/armv7/multiarch/memcpy.S: Remove file.
